Greetings, this is Mrs. Taylor, proud principal of Warren Central High School!
It was great seeing everyone at Back To School Night this past Thursday. Please be sure to continue to communicate regularly with your student's teachers. We know that when all parties work together to support our students, we see our students shine! This week we are excited to get started with tutoring. Tutoring will begin Monday, August 11th, and will take place moving forward on Mondays and Thursdays from 2:45-3:45. Students staying for tutoring will report to the West cafeteria immediately after school. We are excited that our supper program is up and running, and students, while waiting for tutoring to begin, may grab something to eat. Unfortunately, we do not provide transportation for tutoring so all those who are participating will need to make arrangements for rides. Students will need to be picked up from Door 21 following tutoring.
Additionally, this week we will "open up Advisory," meaning students who need additional support in classes may sign up during advisory to get additional help. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that students can access help when needed. Please encourage your student to take advantage of all the opportunities offered to help.
The Homecoming dance will take place on September 6th from 8-11pm. Tickets are $20 and will be sold during lunch. Students wanting to bring a guest must complete a guest form. Forms can be picked up in the office. The week of September 1st-5th will be Spirit Week. Encourage your student to join in the fun!
Finally, the last day for picture retakes is this Monday, August 11th. This is for students who have not had their picture taken or those who want retakes and plan to purchase pictures. Students will not be allowed to retake pictures just to get new ID pictures. Students should be listening for announcements throughout the day to report to pictures based on their last names and grade level.
As always, thank you for allowing us to serve you and your students.
Have a great evening!
