A new and final game in the Kirby Air Ride video game entry is racing its way onto the Nintendo Switch 2 on Nov. 20. Kirby Air Riders is an upcoming racing game that takes the concept of racing to new heights. Some people compare this to Mario Kart, but it stands out in more ways that make it different. This marks a new game in series since the original 2003 Nintendo GameCube release that was over 22 years ago. What makes this new entry so exciting is that it allows newcomers to experience a new take on the series on a more enhanced, modern console.
Riders is similar to Mario Kart, but the game takes a different road that makes it different. The gameplay is not centered around racing or doing a three-lap grand prix. The controls are also different, as players only tilt the control stick left or right and press two buttons to charge up a boost and use a special ability. This is because the game moves automatically. The main vehicles players use to race are not karts. Instead, they use Air Rider machines. They have different forms and traits that weren’t in the original game that can be used on any character of your choice.
In the previous installment, players were only limited to playing as Kirby and two other characters because the game had no other characters available to play as, and the two other characters weren’t able to choose their vehicles. But now in this new installment, players will be able to choose their own rider and play as many different characters, old and new, all across the Kirby franchise.
The game has several modes to choose from. Rode Trip is a new mode that allows players to complete challenges while collecting new machines to use for customization as well as items. This can all be done while allowing the progression of the game's main story. Paddock is a mode that allows players to play different machines for an individual lap, which means players can swap between or replay them with other players in the middle of each lap.
There is even more additional content in this new entry that will be an exciting new addition for new and returning players. The game has been developed with a lot of passion dedicated to it from the developers, and it offers a new innovation that not only tries new things but expands on the original to create a better experience for players.
